Speaker: Charlie Galik

Topic: Emerging Wireless Communication Technologies

Charlie Galik, a software engineer at Motorola, will discuss existing and emerging technologies in the area of wireless communication and its potential impact on our lives. He will address technologies such as cellular broadband and wireless broadband with both Motorola's Canopy and the emerging WiMax technologies. He will also overview the radio frequency technologies of CDMA EVDO (code division multiple access evolution-data optimized), FSK (frequency-shift keying), and OFDM (orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing).
